Target RedCard™ Debit Card
Target’s RedCard™ debit card is quite interesting and is highly recommended because of its many benefits. Even if you are not the typical customer of target this reward card may have you thinking twice about what you are missing out on.
First thing first. Target RedCard™ is not a typical reloadable prepaid card such as GreenDot, NetSpend or Account Now etc. The Target RedCard™ is actually a reward card or as some companies call it a “loyalty card”.
Members of Target’s RedCard™ can enjoy exclusive discounts and other perks. Below we explain exactly what those perks are.
Target RedCard™ Benefits
5% discounts on purchases
Cardholders receive instant savings with 5% discounts on most purchases at Target (in-store & online). However, this not all purchases are eligible for this discount such as contact lenses and over-the-counter prescriptions. We suggest talking to a Target employee about ineligible items. But wait, there’s more. Cardholders also save 5% on Target’s “Top Deals” , 5% off Clearance prices, 5% off any Starbucks location, 10% off every year (on your RedCard sign up date) when you accept Target’s marketing email and many more. To view the full list of benefits visit Target.com.
Free 2 Day Shipping!
Hooray! Amazon is no longer the only company that offers free expedited shipping. As a cardholder of the Target RedCard™ members can enjoy FREE 2 day shipping on thousands of eligible products without the $35 minimum order requirement (best of all there is no monthly membership fee like being a Prime member… definitely something to consider).
Extended 30 days for Exchanges & Returns
Beyond the 90 day exchange/return policy Target offers all of its customers, as a RedCard™ cardholder members get an additional 30 days to exchange or return a product they are dissatisfied with.
Although we absolutely love the perks of Target’s RedCard™ debit card, we must inform you that store cards typically have high interest rates and the RedCard is no different. Target’s RedCard has an interest rate of 24.40% APR. However this will not be a problem to responsible cardholders who pay their bill on time.
